Dr.
Maureen McDonald
After studying medicine at McGill University and
becoming a mother of two children she and her radiologist
husband moved to Peterborough where Dr. Maureen MacDonald launched
her family practice. Dr. McDonald says, "Peterborough
is a great place to raise a family and it has great
schools. It's a wonderful working environment for a
physician. You have readily available consultations, a
good working relationship with the hospital and a very
interesting and appreciative citizen population."
McDonald does committee work at the Medical Centre where
she works, regularly takes co-op high school students
considering medical careers and is involved in helping
physicians from other countries get qualified in Canada.
She enjoys teaching Sunday School, was a Beaver and Cub
leader and she and her husband Dan enjoy skiing.
